PDX Production Lessons
About Me
My name is Alex, and I’ve been passionately producing electronic music, and occasionally hip-hop, for a little over four years now. My home base is the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon.
I love creativity and I love music. Those two things have had a hugely positive impact on my day to day life, so I decided that it’s time to spread the love and start showing others how to express themselves through music and to have fun while doing it.
About The Lessons
I like to take a different approach to teaching my students by letting them guide the experience. Every student is given a short questionaire to fill out prior to their first lesson to help determine where their interests lie. Lessons will focus on the genres and production styles that most interest each student, and students will be encouraged to decide what areas they want to focus on for each lesson.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much do lessons cost?
A: $30 for an hour
Q: Where do lessons take place?
A: Students will meet with me at my home studio in Portland, Oregon. I’m also offering online lessons via skype screen sharing if you are unable to reach my studio.
Q: What times are lessons available?
A: I prefer to schedule lessons from 3pm-7pm on Sundays through Wednesday. If those times don’t work for you I’m a flexible person, so get in touch and we’ll try to work something out!
Q: What other cool stuff do you do for your students?
A: All students will be given feedback and criticism on any songs they are working on and will be encouraged to bring their current projects to lessons. I like to encourage collaboration between students when I have two or more with similar interests.
I will also give students a hand with software setup on their personal computers when possible.
Q: How do I sign up?
A: Shoot me an email or give me a call using the contact information to the left and we’ll go from there! You can also fill out The Questionnaire below if that’s your thing!
Q: Where can I listen to some of your work?
A: I'm constantly posting clips and previews of new music that I am working on on my Soundcloud page: Sonis. Take a look through there and make sure to listen to a few different tracks, because I produce a pretty wide variety of music.
